4th of July 2006
I was in Ludington, MI over the 4th of July weekend with Rob and his family. We stayed at Rob's cousin, Kelley's house. Kelley is the daughter of Tom's (Rob's father) little brother, Mike. She is married to Ted and have a son, Caleb and a new born daughter, Erica.
Her sister Kimberly have a daughter, Kalie and a new born son, Logan. Kalie is spending her summer with her grandparents, uncle Mike and aunt Jody.
Over the weekend I met Kelley and her husband Teb, her parents Mike and Jody, her kids Caleb and Erica, her niece Kalie. Rob's parents Tom and Carol, Carol's sister Jan, Jan's daughter and her kids Grace and Natelie. Jan's kittens Shadow and Maxine. Also Tom's other brother Steve and his wife and kid. Tom's cousin and her kids. Kelley's in-laws and their relatives.
In conclusion, lots of people who are Rob's relatives in some way or another.
I went the beach a LOT. I LOVE IT> michigan lake's water is very cold. But i still can't get enough of it. They have fine white sand beach that's just worth to die for. I wish i could live in ludington. It's a very nice little town. I went to the Fine Arts and Crafts Fair, and the town's 4th of July Parade. Played with kittens and kids. Had yummy ice cream from House of the Flavors, fresh water seafood from local eatery. Watched fireworks on the beach. It was a perfect weekend. I learned how to play poker with the guys...
And highlight of the weekend. I FLOODED kelley's bathroom...
I forgot to turn off the focet before i went in the shower. Uncle mike banned on the door when i had soap in my hair. I jumped out, there was water everywhere! I couldn't get dressed, because my clothes have gone soaked also. So i had just a towel around me and soap in my hair when he rushed in to save the situation. It was very embarrasing and hilarious at the same time. This great family tale will definitely stay around for a couple hundred years!
We drove back from Ludington, MI last night. It was about 5 hours drive, got to champaign around 4 in the morning. I had such a GREAT time. Loved the people, the place, the kids and everything else!
Happy 4th of July everyone!
